Heliotrope leaves.
Like many of my discredited generation, I am insanely interested in shopping and know little about gardens except maybe that watering plants with warm water isn't a good idea.
I thought I'd better take a break from entries re food lest you think I'm in some way fixated with food and live solely for the purpose of savoring goodies.

I once ate some basil that colour, found it on my plate at a very expensive restaurant in Yalta, Ukraine. I have never ever ever been so sick in all my life as I was that night.
Since then, I avoid all plants that even so much as remind me of the whole horrid event.
But your blog's name has the word "Basil" in it:) So its the purple leaves you stay away? Wearing purple doesn't affect you? You should read "A cook's tour" or something like that..I forget the real title. The book reveals most of the short cuts restaurants take to make that extra buck. Seriously makes you wonder whether eating out is worth the while:)
