Welcome Street Bear
I need help naming this chap. He's called "street bear" something so inpersonal it hurts. I would call him blackie but that has a racist ring to it, plus it shows a lack of imagination on my part. It seems to me, the bear deserves a nice name.
anna: Sounds like a mighty good idea. I need to practice so it rolls off my tongue first. BTW Does "swatch" of the watch variety mean black in some way too?? Curious.
Fred: Zebra+elmo=zelmo??
gnightgirl: hahah I admit, he looks rather black and juicy in the picture.
I will mull over all suggestions...and give the answer by the end of the week:)
I like Licorice too actually. Maybe because it is one of my favourite types of candy! But Swartz has still stuck with me. And no, I don't think Swatch has anything to do with black. Isn't it from Swiss watches --> Swatch?!
I suppose the name Horace is feeling very little-used these days. Seems a perfectly good name. And a plastic bear won't get beat up on the way to school if you call it Horace, unlike, say, your daughter.
The name of this blog was shamelessly pinched from that wonderful programme starring Joanne Lumley and Jeniffer Saunders. Thank you for dropping by...
Most of the pictures are my own. When I can remember ( which is only lately) I credit the folks whose pictures I blog. Apologies to the owners of earlier pictures used in this blog. Back in the dark ages, I wasn't as tech-savvy as now.
Edina Monsoon has an Mb Bch Bao degree. Following a 3-year stint in the great Malaysian outback (Tawau, Sabah) she now lives and works in Kuala Lumpur where she contributes to the traffic on a daily basis. She has moved towards a more arty-farty lifestyle with blogging ( roll eyes ) and is now attempting to gain recognition as a more than adequate amateur violin player.
God if you can't make me thin, at least make my friends fat.

What about Swartz? (Svart means black in Swedish so then you get his colour in without it sounding racist.)
Hey Edina. Just stopping in to say hi and hope you have a great week!
How about Zelmo?
Licorice. I want to bite him.

Thesaurus rex: *nod head* yes It can be a Horace. Amazing how some names just leap out of the blue.

Well Mr plastic Horace has a new role on the desk...his left hand when bent slightly serves as a rubber band holder.
