handbags

In the foreground is the Celine trio. Named is descriptive. It comprises three separate pouches joined by buttons which slick and are secure enough to work as a single unit  and works as a sling bag. Usually the three separate pouches come in the same colour, but in some cases like mine you have different coloured pouches. In the background is my trusty workbag the Longchamp which is tried and tested and has been abused and battered by me quite a bit daily. It still looks decent.

The bag forums have separate pages raving about the trio. Apparently it's a big thing and there are enough die-hard fans of this bag. What they are all unanimous in stating is the ease of use and just how much this bag can hold. It comes in two different sizes. Due to the price I choose the smaller version.

I love my Celine trio. It's the most expensive handbag I've bought ever. So the first few trips out with it was nerve wrecking. I felt I had to look after it and make sure no pen marks or scratch marks or oil stains or soup stains. You can imagine, it was a strain on my relationship with the bag. After the 4th outing, things got better. I became more relaxed and started enjoying the bag.

In comparison. the Longchamp le pliage is amazing. I love the luggage size ones especially. They are handy to travel with when you feel your bags are full, out pops the trusty long champ, you unfold it and immediately you have more space to stuff your things.

Longchamp in Bali

In Kuta
No trip would be complete without looking around for Longchamp bargains abroad. On our third night in Bali, we managed ( at last) to go to Kuta, and we got to walk the streets which appeares very much like Hongkong. Tiny shop fronts with interesting composition of things showcased.

I came across this Lonchamp bag at the window front. Two Longchamp bags displayed like so. As I walked towards our transport to take us back to the hotel, I kept wondering....was it the real thing.
At the airport
The only other place I saw Longchamps being sold was at the airport.  Ngurah Rai Denpasar airport is very new. And it reminded me a little of the Budapest airport. Just look at the delicious colours shown in the shelf above. *swoon* Price wise...it was only 40 ringgit cheaper than at KLIA airport.

Longchamp

Confession time! I bought two more La pliages in Singapore. Not intentionally. The shoe shop where I originally planned to spend my money had nothing to offer. So as I walked about Paragon...I just popped into Longchamp for a quick browse only to find it slightly cheaper than KL prices.

And I just HAD to buy two in a color I've wanted for some time now.

The leather La cuir is cheaper in KL. ( Odd but true)

La pliage small...green

La pliage small...green, originally uploaded by andreaban2009.
After months, I dug out my green bag and used it today. Only because my entire outfit was dark blue top to shoes that a blue coloured bag would be OTT.

I've forgotten how handy it is to carry a smaller bag and pack it full with loads of stuff. Inside the bag: two handphones, a purse, keys to the house, car keys, purse for cards, A G16 camera, a kate spade wallet and a huge scarf....and some space to spare.

A good reason to own at least one of these bags:)

Longchamp

Logo Longchamps, originally uploaded by Clemaul.
I now drive a tornado red Golf. And what better reason to buy a matching longchamp bag. Coincidentally the current colours available include the red the shade of which would complement the car colour. Time to shop ladies!

Longchamp at the airport

What a lovely selection. Different types of longchamps for you to drool over and hopefully buy. I spot
1. La planetes, ( the black at the top right hand corner)
2. Coin purse le pliage
3. Le Pliage women's Pouchette

* Longchamp is much cheaper at this airport. Prices comparable to Paris

Longchamp at Pondok Indah Mall

It won't be complete if I didn't post re Longchamp bags. I'm going to confess to buying two bags BEFORE flying off to Jakarta. My chinese kiasu-genes warned me I may not have enough time to shop en route home. ( and I was spot on) The colours I chose were mustard and electric blue.

Here is the Longchamp shop at Pondok Indah mall Jakarta. When I visited the shop, the ladies were busy unpacking the new spring colours. ( WHoooop!!!) I had a nice time admiring self with each different coloured bag in the shop.

Longchamp wish list

Here is the description on the website: Inspire by the Japanese Art of Origami. Manufactured in ultra-light nylon and trimmed in Russian leather. I love the contrast in colours. The price quoted on the net is 170 pounds.

Vietnam

I fly out to Ho Chin Minh tomorrow evening:)  How much appropriate will it be to use this Longchamp bag for the visit. This bag is a limited edition for Spring 2012. I first saw it in Taiwan at the shopping mall below that tall tower 101.The bag is called Autour d'Ha Long. Ha Long bay is a Unesco  World Heritage site located in Quang Ninh province in Vietnam. I won't be travelling anywhere near there. Ha long means "descending Dragon" .

LImited edition

Spotted
Despite my very noble thoughts ...I succumbed to temptation and bought my 8th Longchamp bag.
Looks better at home yah?

Can't wait to parade it at work tomorrow. Althought the background looks white in the picture it's actually a very light shade of pastel pink. And part of the pink flowers curl to the back of the bag. Love it love it...

I will however save the bag for Easter Sunday!!!

Spotted....a very tired longchamp

We had dinner at grandmama's at Pavillion. The food featured were similar to Madame Kwan and the concept looks similar. But I think Madame Kwan's food is tastier. Much! We saw beside a push pram. No baby inside. the baby was lolling about on someone's lap. But never fear, the push pram was put to good use as a work horse. Here it is saddled with many many bags of various shapes and sizes. Can you spot the longchamp in bilberry?

Longchamp replicas

The handles are similar to the original
Woohoo, look what I found after breakfast this am. some bags reminiscent of a certain more expensive brand. The handles are remarkably similar. Stitching was a little less fine and the printed picture spoiled any chance of it looking posh. Oh dear ....
The original Longchamp makeup clutch
The real thing, perfect pencil case material. My next purchase.

Longchamp bags!

The "tree of life" longchamp bag had one of its few outings this afternoon. Because its white I'm almost anal about keeping it so. The slightly bigger capacity makes fitting the IPAD that bit easier. The La pliage smaller sized bag needs you to be ORGANIZE and put stuff neatly in order to accomodate an ipad/keys/handphone/sunblock/mini bag/rosary/thumbdrive/purse/G12 into it comfortably and still be able to zip it up.

Horrors! I found a lady with the "tree of life" longchamp bag in pink. Haven't seen that colour here before. So I took a picture ( well three shots actually but I'm only going to post one up here)

How to spot a fake longchamp

The lapel appears slightly more tapered compared to the original

The faux leather stitching looks uneven.
I found this on the shelf being proudly displayed yesterday evening at the Curve. I think even to the uninitiated the shape of the bag and the colour should alert to this being a fake longchamp bag. Happy shopping!
