Teppanyaki

We decided for my Dad's birthday, to have teppanyaki for dinner Sunday night. The smell ( because we got front row seats so to speak) was gorgeous. And the chicken tender. It was served with little ships of garlic which the chef kept at the corner of his stove. I pointed to it...and got an extra chunk of helping. Now, there is a reason why it's served in a moderate dose with the teppanyaki and on Sunday evening I found out just the reason. A wave of garlicky bitter taste enveloped my tastebuds and stayed with me the entire night. It was accompanied intermittently with waves of heartburn coupled with nausea. Imagine having THAT the whole night, and you will agree I have been taught a VERY painful lesson re garlic overdose.
