Happy Valentine's Day 2015

Anya Hindmarch's lovely "eye" bag
I had a shopping outing with LF two weekends back. We went to Anya Hindmarch's shop at KLCC. LF bought this bag. And she had it monogrammed too. ( Woohoo!) I took loads of pictures and went home obsessing over the same bag and more. I think I'm now almost ready to own such a bag. The Anya Hindmarch bags that I knew was the " I'm not a plastic bag" and bags with photos on them (The duchess of York had one of her daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie) which I never really took to. But this season's " back to school" bags is very nice. The sticker collection is super. I dare you not to lust over at leastg one of them. I like the egg-oh one especially.

french sole

french sole, originally uploaded by andreaban2009.
The obsession with visiting the local French Sole shop was too strong to ignore. Oddly enough, the roads were empty and it took 15 minutes from work to KLCC.

French sole is located on the 3rd floor the same side as Marks and Spencers. I had to ask the information desk because I was too eager to get there. Did not want to walk about looking. Turns out, I wouldn't have found it myself. It's located in one of the pushed-out spots in KLCC ( their version of expanding the place) and you can't see it from the escalator. A tiny sign handing from the ceiling is the only pointer to this shoe haven.

They've been here for more than a year and I don't know about this? Serves me right for not buying any local magazines to read.

The shop is everything you'd want a shoe shop to be. Shoes to the left and right displayed in groups depending on their designs and a large seating area in the middle. The salesperson recognized my own frenchsole shoe I was wearing.( except it's called London sole and she explained the difference to me...and I've forgotten it now so I can't blog about it)

I decided to try and more sloppy version of ballerina flats. In a rather deep dirty orange color. I like some toe cleavage and this design suits my taste. A little bit of discount if you use both HSBC or CIMB card. ( Yay the only two cards I have!) And with that final clincher, I caved in and bought my second french/london sole shoes in the week. Too much!

Singing for CNY 2014

Singing for CNY 2014, originally uploaded by andreaban2009.
When I was cake-hunting last Saturday, I heard lovely voices singing in chinese. I followed the sound and found this. A group of young boys and girls from the chinese orchestral singing, dressed in traditional outfits. To the right of this picture were a group showing calligraphy writing. And behind these singers were the other group each playing a traditional instrument.

Everyone all dressed up yes?

Sebastian Harrods, originally uploaded by andreaban2009.
Red is the colour of luck! And the Chinese play great emphasis on ushering the Lunar New Year in new clothes, bright colors and good food. It marks how you hope the rest of the year will be.

Harrods has dressed Sebastian up in a rather chinese looking outfit and in the obligatory red color:)

What shall I wear for CNY?

Kinokuniya KLCC

books galore, originally uploaded by andreaban2009.
I've been to three different branches, Singapore, Sydney and KL.Ours is the best. Love the wooden flooring and that its in KLCC so you can head out to more shopping ie coffee or tea once you've bought your books. Sydney's is big but didn't feel as cosy. I took a bus there and found it after a feel foiled attempts. Not a good map reader you see.

I nearly always get some books which can't be found elsewhere. And which make good reading.

What I bought this sunday

Accessorize is a great shop to browse. What was it they claim to be : "highstreet wonderland". I dunno about that but it's certainly trendy. With trendy things inside it. And the trendy things were priced within my spending limit. Which was nice to know, this opened up the option of spending money should I find something I like.

The outlet at KLCC is small-ish, more like a half shop. It has a rather wide shop front but only say 6 feet in depth. The girls were friendly and left me to my own devices. They had clips, bags, scarfs, little thingys you can hang on your handphone, frillly panties ( odd !) and flip-flops. For a while now, I've been searching for a hairclip with a life-like flower. So you can forgive me the excitement when I set my eyes on this heliotrope number. It was a close ( close , close) fight between the flat-tish red rose the size of my palm and this.
