Menara Axis,

I got a good parking spot right in front.

 We had a talk to attend at Menara Axis this morning on a rather new device to aid people with muscular problems like SMA and Duchenne Muscular dystrophy to cough. I left home early because I have a record of getting lost in PJ and I didn't want to miss this talk after having budgeted my time for it.  Waze brought me here early and I was lucky enough to get a parking spot right in front and I had time to buy myself a latte at Starbucks before heading up to level 8 for the talk.

A variety of seats available

 A whole lot of natural light streaming into this Starbucks and they had a variety of seats. I like the arrangement very much.

All in all a nice branch of Starbucks

Starbucks Publika

This is me with my new laptop at Starbucks inside Publika. I came here after a long day of meeting to try and do some work. Starbucks isn't the place for that. For starters their seating is limited. Really limited. and the 4 tables they had within easy access had no power points near by. There is a cosy corner but it was already full. Well there was one empty spot right in the corner but the couple beside didn't look too keen to share their space. And I wasn't too excited about being stucked in a corner.

I've tried and now I know. It's not the place to unwind and do work.. I think Coffee Society would be a better choice. Serves me right for being lazy and choosing the nearer option.

They have Starbucks!!! I'm dead jealous. I think our University should think about housing one too. A great boost of morale. The students would love it. Heck, the lecturers would love it too. Imagine buzzing down for a shot of caffeine before a meeting. Nice:)

Please note the airy high ceiling of this starbucks. The decor is slightly different from the ones in Malaysia. Seating was widely spaced and they had single tables for those desperately in need of solitude to do some real work, as well as group seats for those who want company and coffee.

The staff were friendly. And I think with the conversion ( my maths isn't the best...neither is AJs...but thankfully she wasn't around that afternoon) the coffee was cheaper than in KL.
