Food at Le Meridien, Kuala Lumpur

If you haven't already come to this conclusion on your own, let me tell you that food at Le Meridien is superior to KL Hilton. I was reminded of this when we had a meeting at Le Meridien Thursday this week. Le Meridien is just beside KL Hilton, so it can boast  the same accessibility to KL Sentral and to the airport via KLIA transit and its proximity to the rather new NU Sentral shopping centre. It is slightly smaller than KL Hilton, the lobby lacks the space but you wouldn't miss it unless you are comparing it directly to Hilton. This lack of space  makes it cosier and friendlier.
Traditional Salmon Gravlax, fennel salad, miso mustard and lemon dressing
We had this as an appetiser. Very nice but then I'm partial to salmon. I now know that Gravlax is  a  dill-flavoured cured salmon and  a classic Swedish dish. I finished every last bit of it.

Roasted chicken leg and cream cheese and herbs, mashed potatoes with leeks, onion compote, grilled asparagus, chicken juice.
This was a large potion. I think most of us left some bits behind. The chicken was soft and with each bite there was a hint of cream cheese. The mash potatoes cannot be seen in this picture. It's actually behind that huge leg of chicken. It tasted divine. Butter and with a hint of herbs and melted in the mouth.
Peppermint tea
My peppermint tea was exactly what it promised to be. Drinking this left a warm peppermint heat in the body. Very nice indeed.
Cream cheese cake and vanilla ice cream
Do you see that wafer like stick in the picture above? It's not wafer but white chocolate curl. Yummy! The vanilla ice-cream was just large enough to offer a different taste to the gorgeous cream cheese cake to the left of the picture. That cake was very nice.
